Was not the first written language comprised of symbols? Are not alphabetic letters in essence, symbols?
The problem is not written language in itself. The problem is the meanings given to the words.
Symbolic language is of no positive significance either if negative connotations (corrupt meanings/mistranslations) are given to the symbols.
