how did Afrikans and others relate to Jah before the communication known as writing?

How did writings improve/enhance indigenous lifestyles/actions?

I can only see a difference in the post-xtian european and semitic world. But I do not see one iota of evidence that shows me human activity improved after the presentation of holy writ. Evidence actually shows a decay in humanity.

How do you explain this?

If you would, please give me a holy-book before and after scenario of our condition as afrikan/indigenous people.

I ask because humans lived in harmony with Nature/Jah thousands of years before texts and scripts IMO.
