"The chosen people"...
It's not actually 'being' an Israelite... It's the chosenism in the Abrahamic/Semetic paradigm, and the religious/cultural identity of this particular 'group' being pushed upon the masses of the globe far and beyond THEIR OWN spiritual/cultural systems and identites via Western colonialism.
Do you think if Africans weren't enslaved and colinized by Europeans that so many would be wanting to identify with what amounts to a culture that before Arab/European contact, would be numerically impossible for so many of us to even know about, let alone be decendents of? Come now...
Europe, under Rome was consolidated under X-iandom, and all her latter colonies proceeded to follow the same imperialist trend... Most of the world wouldn't have even heard of the Israelites if it wasn't for European physical/cultural/religious imperialism. That's a fact.... and since most of us are victims of said imperialism, that is the ONLY reason we even are familiar with things Biblical. We come from West/Central Africa no?
Lastly, they have NOT been slaves of every empire known to man. They haven't even had contact with every major empire known to man. They WERE NOT enslaved in Egypt. That is myth. I could go on, but I'm sure you know that your statememnt is historically innacurate.
"Religious intollerance is the particular history of Europe. It is not the history of Africa, or the world. It is highly innacurate to project the particular histoy of Europe onto everyone else."
