European/Whites set up the Bible and Judeo-X-ianity as 'superior' and after hundreds of years of the suppression of West/Central African indigenous practices, which led to cultural/spiritual self hatred to the point of fear and demonizing, folks try to validate themselves by linking themselves(in an illogical manner numerically speaking) to what is valued by their oppressors.

IMO it's quite sad...
