You are making some statements that do not appear to fit with what I have stated. Can you not quote something so I could follow what you are responding to?**
I know you would prefer he be more explicit, so you can relieve some of the shock absorbed by your brain after reading his statement. Believe your brain, he didn't stutter.
Its funny how the question of whether diasporan Africans need continental Africans never occurs to those who believe that by acknowledging their African-ness, they are somehow doing Africans a favor.
What is implied in his statement is that continental Africans need the civilizing force of her Westernized prodigal sons and daughters, and its a major part of the schism that affects Africans in the diaspora. Its why whenever "true" Africans question their motives or disagree with their methods and idealogy they respond with indignation.
Much like those "white rastas" who stumble upon this site and cannot come to terms with the fact that for some of us "One Love" cannot be achieved until the idea of "White Supremacy" is eradicated and racial equality rules.
Marley may have suggested "One Love" however he also chose to record Selassie's "War" anthem, which his admirers seem to selectively forget. Both Selassie and Marley seem to agree on the point of fact that War reigns. That "Peace and Love" remain an illusion. "Until..."
