"Liberia stands as a testament to he kind of help Africa doesn't need from her prodigal sons and daughters."
What is the capital of Liberia again? Is it Monrovia, named after the white president James Monroe?
What could you possibly have expected from an Afrikan nation created by Europeans?
"I have no problem with help, but I happen to think that the "helpee" should determine the need and mode of the assistance, not the "helper." "
I would hope that their would be some kind of plan set in place. How can there be help it the parties dont talk about what is needed?
"As descendants of enslaved Africans, we have been conditioned to value our European slave masters customs. Our socialization is repeatedly reinforced by the western media and colourism is just one of its schisms."
Oh...is that why there are Afrikans on the continent who speak spanish, french, portuguese, dutch, english, etc.
This is because they did not suffer from colonializm eh?
"Africans in the diaspora have not even resolved the problems they have with each other, yet they presume they are in a position to dictate the discourse of their relationship with Mother Africa. "
Neither has Afrikans on the continent. Self hatred in the form of tribal war is running rampant.
We all know who imposed this mentality on us both (continental and diasporic).
We have more in common than we have different, yet we chose to focus on the difference.
Peace
