I will not comment on your post line for line but I will respond.

I did agree that the issue of privilege within the black society should be addressed. Because it is obvious that it exists.

I just disagree with the notions of telling someone they are not black enough because they are light skin, without knowing what they are doing for Afrikans on the continent and abroad. I am not accusing anyone in particular. I just know that I keep reading posts about "pure black" and things like that.

This is the willie-lychism division I am talking about.

I say willie lynch because this was a conditioning that was imposed upon us by babylon.

Colorism is another imposition on us by Babylon.

I never said it didnt exist.

I am saying that it is babylon tactic of divide and rule.

Many of us are falling for it.

Being skeptical of whites is not enough.

I guess we must be skeptical of light skinned people too. Like there are no blue-black zombies walking around here.

I also agree that Afrikans in the diaspora should learn as much about continental Afrikans as possible to bridge the gaps. And vice versa.

It is good to focus on differences as well...but sometimes you have to agree to disagree according to what the person is willing to grasp...not make sly insults.

I dont think saying that diasporic are less
black or Afrikan is going to help. Nor will it help to say ignorant things about continental afrikans.

I have no problem reasoning with anyone here about anything. I have been posting here for a few years now.

And I have been thru this colorism discussion before.

I have not changed my stance at all.

And by the way, I am not "kinda-light skinned". I posted my picture here for all to see a while ago. I am brown skinned...closer to dark than light.

So I have not received any benefits from "colorism." I grew up in a ghetto plantation like many black people in America.

On my plantation, the system didnt care if you were dark or light skinned. Only we seemed to care.

I doubt if any of the light skinned folks from the 9th ward in New Orleans got a break either.
