"First of all, I must say that I have not received any known benefits for being brown (unless u talking about food stamps, govt cheese, milk, etc). I grew up poor and I am still poor. Anything that I have, I have received from my own merits."
I don't see the need for this declaration. I was not trying to show you that you are privileged. The reason for discussing White privilege and Colorism is because most people 'do not know' how they benefit from a corrupt system to the detriment of others. They are not aware of how insensitive they may be.

"Is it the fault of the child that has an ancestor who was raped by a slavemaster and is brown instead of coal black?"
Who is blaming anyone for being born White, light-skinned or Black? I think what is being expressed is based on observations of the general conduct of groups of people. I suspect (I could be wrong) that Eja and Bantu Kelani are speaking about the general conduct of groups of people. Although I must admit that many people are getting into relationships quite aware of the results they want. Many Blacks are deliberately producing light-skinned children.

"It is their fault if they use it to their benefit at the expense of other black people."
What is the point you are trying to make here, and what is this in response to?
You also said:
"The idea of "pure" blacks sounds like a notion of "chosenness" to I.
What are the "pure" blacks going to do when the prodical sonz and daughters start to return?
Or do the "pure" blacks need the sonz and daughters from the west? "
What is this in response to?
You are making some statements that do not appear to fit with what I have stated. Can you not quote something so I could follow what you are responding to?
