Re: African People Must Nourish Pan Africanizatio

{I would not take that definition, and I would not sell it to anyone. It puts Africa in a box, it makes us only react to political processes in the world, rather than shape them to our needs.}

"... and the definition can be added too, refined, and even changed by the masses of African people as is needed for the struggle to continue and succeed."

{Socialism? That is not an African thing now, is it? Not all of Africa, anyway.}

Scientific socialism is a political-social system and structure that can be implemented by any group/nation...No one people can claim it...just as no one people invented gravity.
Socialism is also the natural progression from the basic societal structure of African communalism(basic, meaning on the village level...not dealing with empires/kingships/ect.)

{That is another thing, there is the failure to recognise that Africa is never the same everywhere every time. There are disparaties even in the same civilisation. The ancient Empire of Munhumutapa built the great city of Zimbabwe and traded with China and Venice etc, but the lives of the ordinary folk did not reflect this splendour and sophistication. Tshaka the Great is remembered as a brilliant military strategist and nation builder, but the people only remember his era as the mfecane- the time of trouble.}

The PEOPLE and their frame of referrence and perspective on history and reality is the basis for scientific socialism. The ordinary folk are what matters...and are whos conditions need to be addressed and improved, not empires/leaders/kings/ect. Can you expand on how Africa's and African peoples differences is/are not being taken into account when it would have to be the masses who decide the direction for the struggle to take?

{This narrow-mindedness is a bit like Zionism- the arrogant assumption by European Jews that every other Jewish community had to share their vision and support their methods of attainment even when they did not agree with them.}

The struggling African masses came up with this definition at the previous Pan African Conferences...There is another one coming up in Zimbabwe... This was just the conclusion and definition that was given in the past...It is not concrete or written in stone, just as the people and their movements, struggles, and needs are ever changing...So the strategies to fight the oppression and exploitation of the masses must evolve to be effective. I fail to see how it is like Zionism...No one grouping of Africans came up with the ideology..and since it is not rigid of colonial in nature like Zionism...That comparrison confuses me...
