Re: African People Must Nourish Pan Africanizatio

Baba Marcus, after reading the article you posted in this thread, I am struck by my own reserve, and the reserve, and anger of several continental Black Africans I know... In all places it strikes me that Diaspora so-called Panafricanists are so insensitive to the problems of continental Africans because they are away from their motherland, and that's not unusual. It something like out of sight out of mind and that is sad...

How Diaspora Africans, with all of the history of murder, rape, and enslavement that has plagued their communities for more than 300 years are STILL indifferent to deal with their own people on the continent? Incompetence, lethargic manner will not solve the general issues and dilemmas of the Black Race. Then why must we self-torture ourselves about this issue of Panafricanism when our Diaspora people don't seem to give a ***! Why a sensitive native African like me should be subjected to dream about the unity of the Black Race when Diaspora Africans (and continental Africans as well) are right there to crush the idea.

As brother Ayinde justly said, I think that most Diaspora Africans worldwide are browbeaten themselves, it only makes sense they altogether turn away from the Motherland and its inhabitants... Yes, we do need the unity as African people, but how will that unity be achieved, by amputating the idea? I leave those who practice hypocrisy to figure it all out... As for me, when I see brothers in the Diaspora looking the other way when the trials of millions of continental Africans are characterized by many human rights violations, social and economic genocides instead of attempting to provide empathy and political support to the black African victims on the continent, then I realize WHY the Black Race is in trouble... Is it extreme egoism or mad cowardice?

No good purpose is served by slapping in my face the concept of Panafricanism when it is clear that ignorance, fear, egoism, and cowardice breeds among us even among the loudest supporters of this idea...
