"Why would something with a definable source/center require limitation and how is that measured?"

If you can define the centre, then you are saying you know all there is to know about the source. If you know all there is to know about the source of a particular thing, then that source is limited in that, there are other things you know which are not a part of it.

If one knows all there is to know about the source of a thing, then one is in a position where one can recreate that thing. One has aqquired 'godlike' powers (where that thing is concerned).

But, if one accepts that there are things which are undefinable, then one would never view the sum of his/her knowledge as being 'absolute'. The custom would become one where we are more cautious when stepping foward.

The conceit of 'knowing' all there is to know about a thing (or a procedure) is what has led irresponsible 'scientists' into devising tools and procedures that have caused great devastation on the Earth.

Knowledge, like most things has become 'democratised', each and every person now believes that it is thier inalienable right to be able to claim the possession of 'knowledge' when they have aqquired the proper documentation or validation. Yes, absolute truths exist, but no, not everybody can possess them. And, not everybody is suited to the pursuit of deep knowledge. Just as not all container shaped objects are suited to the carrying of water.

One answer to the quiz I posed is this : You are the centre of what you are, in other words, for you to define the centre of what you are, you must turn inwards, and when you find it, turn inwards...The centre is infinite, endless and as such undefinable.

But I may be wrong, it may be possible to define the Infinite. However, like I also suggested, it may be best (before starting out on that mission) to warm up by defining something simple like the taste of water.
