Re: Why the inability to fathom absolute truths? *LINK*

You said, "I would take some slight issue with your analogy of water reticulation"

* You do not say what you are basing your speculation on or what about the analogy is slightly flawed.

You said: "I am not so sure of it being a case of turning anything on or off"

* I did not expect YOU to be sure of anything I am posting here. Remember, these are MY experiences that I am sharing. It is ok if you feel people automatically get in line with their essence and have an automatic continuous flow without doing anything to turn on the flow. I know differently.

You said: "Some of my original misgivings about what I though you meant in your original post were based on my thinking that you believed truth could somehow be transfered from one person to another. I think that people can truky help one another along the way, and that a good many of the people that i admire in the spiritual sense seem to have a knack for picking the right thing to say and do to break the final straw of resistance to experiencing truth, but in the end the expereince HAS to be a personal one."

* If you had clearly stated your misgivings from the onset then maybe I would have reasonably explained and perhaps demonstrated why what you have stated here is correct in part, but flawed in my view.

The positions some people hold on to essentially limit them. They feel people cannot know anything absolutely and/or the Universal essence is indefinable. By holding to their positions absolutely, within their stated uncertainty, they severely contradict themselves. They are then committed to trying to show that anything stated is in error or lacks definition even when they cannot prove that.

Anyhow, as I previously stated: “There is also a notion that an absolute truth would be easily understood by all. But that is not really true. People are at different levels of sensibilities, experiences and awareness allowing a variety of perspectives, so not all would understand the same way. Since an absolute truth is usually conveyed through experience and language, then those who lack the experience do not get it. People interpret words differently (than what is being communicated), so information could be understood differently, thus altering the intended meaning in the mind of the listener. Also, an absolute truth can be comprised of many facts and this means the people who are trying to grasp that absolute truth have to be sufficiently informed about the many facts. They may not even agree on the facts. That does not mean the absolute truth cannot be accurately conveyed.”
