I forget was to tell you that when these youths return to their villages, each of them would get a house or a hut as their new home, and will not be living in their parents house any more, while they were away, their parents and the elders in the village build each of them a hut, and the counsel of Elders assign them each a piece of land, to do their own cultivation or raise their cattle, or whatever kind of livelihood they may be doing, they have their own place to fullfil same. They then are assign community duties on a daily basis in order for them to give back to the community, so that the great baton of Unity can be past on from generation to generation. They will also be allowed to attend the council of Elders community meetings, so that they can learn about community activities, and how to solve community problems, and if they have any thing to report about the community, they will be allowed to do so, but they must sit in that area, which is designated for their age group as young adults.
I have to take this piece by piece, there is much more to talk about, there is knowledge to be earned. But I am not sure if most o0f these traditions, are still carriued out on a geberal basis in Mama Africa with the event of Television and other modern distractions today.
This will take a lot of reasoning, so please forgive me if I take it little by little. When Ras Makennon the father of Tafari Makonenn, was only about fourteen years of age, his father Dejazmatch Walda Mika'el Walda Malakot, of the Doba and Manz nobility, took Makonenn to Menelik, who was then only King of Shoa, and said to him,'let this my son, your aunt's offspring, grow up with you in your palace'. So like father like son, at about the same age, they were both given the royal opportunity, to live a life, having more than their own young hearts could have wish for. Makonnen became very loyal to King Menelik and displayed great abilities, as he learned from day to day, and by age twenty four he was given the rank of Balambaras in the year 1876. Ras Makonnen was born on the 8th of may 1852.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE
Baba Ras Marcus
