Why Do People Fight to Sit On Thrones

I know that poeple who sit on thrones are placed in a higher class above the masses of the people, and by the laws of the land, which are generally made by a small minority of the people of the ruling class, they who sit on the throne and they who are of the inner circle of that class, get the best of the yams, fish, milk clothes and all basic comodities, as well as having servants born in their houses and is serve day and night by servants. But is this the best life for people to live, while the masses of the people are hungry and starving, sickly and shelterless, is this kind of life a blessing or a cursing? Is this the best example of goodness?
What do you think?
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
