Blessed Ras Marcus,
I thank the I for the rasponse.
The Rastafari Elders CD is most cherished to I (I truly never tire of it!), however I did not know of Ras Sam Brown's Teacher album. I will look out for it online...
I definitely can Iverstand the frustration with empty promises from politicians. Politicians have tried to use InI movement culture and peoples to win elections for them many times, particularly in the West Indies. I am certain that the I recalls Michael Manley walking with his "rod of correction", using Rasta language, etc as I have read about.
I am also curious about the I's knowledge / experiences in regards to the Revolution in Grenada, and the Rastas' relationship with Maurice Bishop during that time. I sight that these kinds of experiences have taught Rasta that it is a mistake to become involved with politicians.
That said, I still wonder how InI can achieve reparations, repatriation, and InI Pan African ideals in general without becoming involved with politicians and politics. I have read the I's essay about Rastafari and Religion and sight for example the necessity of political representation to protect InI land in Shashamane and for the Rastafari there to achieve recognition as repatriated Africans.
I give thankhs for the opportunity to reason with the I and learn from your experiences.
Blessed Love Baba
