David Icke is a man I have always regarded as a little mad, this thing about reptilian shapeshifters is something I am still to swallow.
But I have seen his books in Rastafarian bookshops here in London, so I know he is well regarded by Blacks in the West.
In his book, Children of the Matrix, he identifies Robert Mugabe as linked to Lord Carrington and Tony O'Reilly. O'Reilly is a media baron, he owns the same newspapers that I myself do not read but which have been accused of campaigning against Mugabe and Zimbabwe. I myself do not subscribe to the belief that being anti-Mugabe = anti-Zimbabwe. So while these papers turn out to be not anti-Mugabe as such, they are in fact anti-Zimbabwe.
Now, what do the Mugabe-apologists have to say about that? What do Rastafarians in particular, who chant down Babylon yet champion the personality cult of a desperate, ideologically-bankrupt dictator , have to say not only about this revealation, but about themselves and what they really stand for?
