Greetings Brother.
I cannot speak on behalf of those whose reasons for defending President Mugabe are as simplistic as you stated and I have not seen any posting that you could have taken any of those three statements from as a quote.
I have never met Robert Mugabe but I know he is not single handedly running the country so, my reasons for speaking in his defence have nothing to do with how 'cool' he is. What I am defending is the government of an African country. This is what is under attack though the West try to hide this fact by constantly shouting 'Mugabe' and placing his picture everywhere. Let us be realistic, he is on the last 10% of his life on this earth but Zimbabwe will still be there after he is gone.
Which is why you need to include this question as a vital component in your thoughts: what kind of country do you want? Do you think that a man who achieves power with a boost from the West will do better for your people? The reason Mugabe is still there and receiving the support he does is because the only alternative there seems to be is coming across like a part-time pimp, part-time whore (which is what they call multi-tasking).
And I have also noticed that since the West started crying over Mugabe, they have not mentioned a single name of someone with a pro-African programme as an alternative (by African,I mean Zimbabweans who are not descended from land-pirates); all they are promoting is thier boy Morgan and Morgan is'nt saying anything.
Finally, on behalf of the Yoruba I return the love from Zimbabweans twofold and I want to remind you that we may be far from each other but, our destiny is one.
