Ayinde, while I respect your nuanced perspective on the situation in Zimbabwe, that is not the perspective of many Black organizations and individuals that I have encountered in the USA. Many of them seem to totally, absolutely and uncritically support Mugabe and uphold him as a revolutionary hero. Obviously biased propaganda from a left/Black perspective is nowhere near as dangerous or pervasive as biased propaganda from a right/white perspective, but at the end of the day I still see it as biased propaganda and that should be opposed no matter where it comes from; any movement based on lies, half-truths and distortions will not be succesful in the long run.
Racist whites and racist Indians are quick to demonize my country's former leader L.F.S. Burnham, but I don't think his track record merits him being put on a pedestal like bro. Ras Ashkar seemed to be doing in his post of a month or so ago either.
Can you see where I'm coming from on this?
