Greetings...
The coffin/box/sarcophagus is meant to be symbollic of the womb, as Earth is seen as the Mother. The ancients that first started burying bodies in sarcophagi knew that "death" is the transition where One is born again (and not in the Christian sense). So the putting of the body in a vessel was seen as a literal, by some, and symbollic, by others, way of honoring the new form of life that the Mother births I into. After overstanding the fact that His Majesty put great attention to the creation of His own sarcophagus we ought to think why is this? I do anyways, I feel it is of the utmost importance. Granted, the way the coffin is used today, much meaning has been lost, for many it is just a ritual to follow, but for others the meaning is very much realized.
