I fully agree with the point you have made about the burial rituals that are undertaken nowadays, The system has turned a natural occurrence into a money spinning business.Personally I do not want any church fool chatting nonsense over me when I have departed, it better them either cremate I or fling me inna cheap box inna insignificant spot. If anyone wants to say a thing then that is up to them. (indeed I could leave the structure to medical science-although there is an irrational thought saying that isn't really me, but looking at it objectively it would free up land and also contribute to medical science, hah hah), please note most of that within the brackets is tongue in cheek, but still there is a reasoning to be had on that topic! In terms of the Dead burying the Dead that is indeed a paradox.
I think that the passage has been put there to turn people into fools, because how can one dispose of the dead if one is already dead?
In terms of the Nazarite Vow, I feel that the passage is full of holes, Looking at the issue objectively I find in the absence of how being present in the presence of a cadaver can in some way pollute you (spiritually/non physically) to be nonsense, unless the body has some infection that could contagious! That is the only logical explanation. As a vegetarian I do not personally condone the intake of flesh, much less mindless killing based on superstitious man made foolishness. Animals have their uses and there is indeed times when one may have to slew an animal, but if an animal has to be slain it should not be in the name of Sport or God! That is my personal view!

I find that too many people are following the whims of men, when they undertake their ritual sacrifices and even Female Genital Mutilation in the name of God, well Fire should burn out them kind of superstitions! Personally I don't follow Man and Man, I will listen to ideas and if they stack up I can take them on board, but I will only follow the livity or idea, not the person - that is how I stay!
