I am focusing on the essentials and essentially women and men are quite different. Why do Gypsies kidnap young women? Is it because females are ill suited to the transient lifestyle? Did you know that a woman has to be of a certain weight in order to become pregnant? How does a group of H&G guarantee a food source to maintain weight? The earth does bring forth fruit but doesn't the soil have to meet certain conditions? Eve's sin was one of necessity. A transient lifestyle does not favor children neither does it favor the women who have the responsibility for these children. So it should come as no surprise that it was the woman (a.k.a. witch) who found a way to remove some of the uncertainties of food and childbirth.
