"The caste system is older than Judaism methinks"
This is a statement of fact. Societal Caste-ing still exists on the continent of Africa where it began. It was one of the characteristics of Ethiogyptian society highlighted by Herodotus: And if we observe and understand the way it serves human society we'll all begin to see it as a natural evolution.
"Actually I think the potential for such ideology has always existed in humans; xenophobia is the negative flip side of group solidarity. Certainly some cultures emphasize it more than others: Jews being one such but certainly not the only one."
I like this statement. Everyone claims to understand that the "mirror has two faces" but still I keep reading posts calling for the destruction of all human creation/innovation. All "Systems" incorporate and exhibit the characteristics of those who operate/control/manage them. The output is only as good as the input; thus if a system/organism is corrupt it stands to reason that those within the system are also corrupt or lean more towards the dark side. For instance, at our natural core we are merely parasites, so parasitic behavior should be expected in all human organisms. If it works well we call it Symbiosis; the flip side being Individualism or egotism; Mother Nature’s Free Radicals..
