I think if you re-read your own question, you would find the answer. You asked if blacks who STRAIGHTENED their hair lack self-esteem. Not if blacks with naturally straigter hair (like some from Somalia, India, etc)lacked self-esteem.
Anybody that go to great lengths (and endures pain in the case of straightening) in order to change the appearance that Jah gave them, plainly and obviously lacks self-esteem at some level, whether they know it or not. As do women who implant silicone into their breasts.
