Re: don't CONfuse.

Firstly I'm not getting into this who is Rasta and who is baldhead discussion, because it is who is making those distinctions that usually have the biggest problems.

I'm not confused, I am very clear. I spent a great portion of my adult life living in a Rasta relationship and at the end of that do you know what I have learnt? I learnt that the problems of Racial and Sexual discrimination exist within this movement also; it is no Heaven on earth group. It is still developing. If some people are picking up these euphoric feelings in any organisation most times these are their personal experiences and not the experiences of the majority of people. The discrimination is the same it just comes with a different hairstyle.

The group has not yet transcended the basic problem that strangles all of society. When I visit many Rasta sites on the Internet I realised that it is not a Trini problem but a general one. Mind you I did not expect to find Utopia there and I did not have a clue as to what Utopia was. Many people claim to want to solve problems and live in peace but they want to achieve it by just saying so, no discussions, no method just believe. This is the method of madness.

If you refer to your post on the topic lower down you stated that 'I guess first off I'd have to say that the question itself brings division - which Rastafari don't need’. In my view Rastafari is already divided but no more so than any other group. The reality is that these divisions do exist and not dealing with it only widens the gap, it would not magically go away. Discussion is always needed to bring overstanding.

( Mainly just wanted to say, that my heart and prayers are with you because it seems your having a tough time wherever your at and only hope you don't confuse Rasta (once again with any color) with that which Rasta is painstakingly against. )

I never asked you or anyone else to pray for me, I find it very intrusive of anyone to try to intervene in my life without asking my permission. What gave you the idea that I am suffering? Is it because I described my experiences, which I HAVE overcome? I happen to know these are still real experiences for many people in my country most of whom cannot afford a computer. The mere fact that I am telling you of my experiences on this topic testifies to my character and clear state of mind.

PS
I&I for me means i=(small self) + I=(Universal self) = UNITY.
