Re: What do blacks not want as white rasta objecti

Greetings Gman,
Yes I agree with much of what you write and I find much of it interesting and true.
RASpect for that reasoning.

To try to make it simpler as I am not good at getting my thoughts out in text.

There is no dening that the RASTA movement and lifestlye is of African colour and culture but there is no dening also through both Biblical and Scientific prove that Africa is the home of creation.

We are all of African birth, like you said whether it be a million years or one hundred.

Why then do we need to judge a book by its colour and cover when the movement itself and its members claim so much to follow Selassie as its leader who HIM himself fought hard against labeling by colour, and the principle of fighting all forms of oppression when we the RASTA are falling head first into the oppression of excluding because of colour.

For this reason we should be asking the question of repatriation to all RASTA and not just the white. How can we preach equal when we divide by asking of colour rather than of heart and ideas.

You are dead right when you said that it is about power........:)

This even reflects deep in to the heart of the movement.

Every board will have a post on who is saved and who is not between those RASTA of Christian belief and those of other spiritual belief.Post on who is a real RASTA and who isn't because of the faith they choose to follow while living RASTA and alot of the time the issue of colour is then brought into the reasoning as power play.
Words like, no you cant be a true RASTA as you are white and RASTA is a African movement.

It is this mindset that should be rid from within the movement.

It is society and its environment that has oppressed not just colour.
Do we think we live in a world where no cloured person has ever oppressed because of religion, colour and for the greed of power as whites also have done?

Does all this then allow me to ask the question of what are coloured RASTA doing to rid the racial ideas and actions of many africans who oppress also because of religion, colour and greed.
What are there objectives towards such works?

What are Coloured RASTA doing to stop the abuse of Child brides within Ethiopia?

My point is that yes I can label these questions to coloured RASTA as it is within there culture that these effect but this is wrong and they are questions that should not singled out for colour as they are issues and questions that effect RASTA as a whole.

Lets leave colour out as it is the mind and heart that holds wrong not your skin.

I grew up in a racial environment but through RASTA and JAH I rid myself of years and years of such ideas and teachings.
And I did this by looking at the small things that are often missed and by overstanding both sides to all problems whether I agree or not.

Again Gman RASpect for your reasoning and I hope I have made abit of sence here.

RASpect and JAH blessings
