I myself am totally AGAINST polygamy in any form. Numerous ones however have I given room to try and convince me or convince myself otherwise.

The intention of my post however was not to present a verdict on the reasoning just yet. The reason I am posting is to point out a statement by the I Asukile Adofo which may have misinterpreted the words of the I Ebrima.

May I ask why the I Ebrima is being called ‘white’ even after saying so little? The I Ebrima made this simple statement: how do you think my eight children would see that another woman is sexing their father at the same time as their mother is?

I Ebrima merely changed the original statement: are telling me it would be ok for my Empress to have another man living with me and her where she would have two husbands,how do you think my eight children would see that another man is sexing their mother at the same time as their father is? and exchanged the word ‘woman’ for ‘man’ and ‘mother’ for ‘father.’

I think I Ebrima was simply showing that polygamy could be viewed from BOTH the perspective of the MAN having more than one woman AND from the perspective of a WOMAN having more than one man. I Ebrima never said to support the view that WOMAN is entitled to more than one lover. The I Ebrima is yet to give a JUDGEMENT on the reasoning to show which side of the reasoning the I belong.

Perhaps the One Adofo mixed up names when calling Ebrima ‘white’ and meant to say that someone else (eg. Rasdavid who has also made comments) is having a ‘white’ view on the matter.
