HIM Selassie did not manage to foster equality amongst all people in Ethiopia. In fact, indigenous Ethiopians such as the Oromo have legitimate experiences of oppression at the hands of the lighter skinned ruling elite, the Amhara, and this continues to this very day. The Amhara are the socially and culturally dominant group in Ethioipia even though they are the numerical minority.Amharic is classified as an Ethiosemitic language is the official Ethiopian language has been an important factor in the Amharization

Though Selassie did certain works, as far as i am concerned he was not sensitive to the oppression of Darker Ethiopians, and with the continued dominance of the light skin elite, there was never no real equality.
