I tend to agree with 360 when he states that not everything goes according to plan. If nature performed the way humans expect and predict there would be no "birth defects." Maybe the technology instead of being a distraction serves as tools of enlightenment for the masses.
The post the widow's son highlights Seshat's compensation as it is turned inward; as more and more people become affected a solidarity begins to emerge; this eliminates what must have been feelings of isolation for the "widow's son."
