Technology is a tool. I think what is important is how you use the tool and how it influences your life.
Human beings are different from the other animals according to our ability to innovate. Innovation has been very instrumental in our survival as humans.
The problem is that we are forsaking the fundamental and basic ways of existence, in favor of a more innovative, "high" tech approach. So, in time, the basic, fundamental approach will be lost. If you dont use it, you lose it.
Look at how many children and young adults have lost the ability to handwrite properly due to emails, text, and other forms of virtual communication.
Using technology as a crutch is very different from using it as a tool.
