***"Capitalism is necessary to the progress of the world and those who unreasonably and wantonly oppose or fight against it, are enemies to human advancement, but there should be a limit to the individual or corporate use or control of it. No individual should be allowed the possession, use or the privilege to invest on his own account, more than a million, more than five million. Beyond this, all control, use and investment of money should be the prerogative of the state with the concurrent authority of the people. With such a method, we would prevent the ill-will, hatred and conflicts that now exist between races, people and nations. Modern wars are generally the outgrowth of dissatisfied capitalist interests either among foreign or strange people or nations."
Rt Hon Marcus Garvey***
I love Garvey, and I use to be a big proponent of state socialism(what is being described here)... but it leads to authoritarianism(which is something evidenced by state socialism in action). Garvey is one of the father's of Pan Africanism, but like all fathers, he is human(and therefore not perfect) and his children should try to build upon his example and surpass what their parent accomplished. That is what every parent wants for their child. Garvey also said 'Palestine for the Jews', and of course, now we see Zionism is a global exploitive and oppressive force, particularly towards Africans. The Pan Africanist/anti-capitalist movement in general supported the rise of what was proposed to be a 'socialist state' in Palestine... Of course we see that was BS and Isreal is a bourgeois exclusivist so-called-Jewish imperialist state and functions with and for Amerikkan & Brittish imperialism. Now Garvey's children say "Palestine for the Palestinians". It is growth.
