Mengistu was a 'socialist'/ Chavez is a 'socialist'...one is implementing Actions for the good of the people based on the Socialist Theory. the other acted in a manner that was solely meant to empower himself and those around him.

relocate to a cooperative/communal area in america if ones dont have the resources to leave the country. grow your own food. barter. dont pay taxes. live off the land. these are all practical alternatives...however they may not be COMFORTABLE alternatives, but the options are there, most that espouse alternative economic systems are unwilling to live in such a manner,yet they talk a good game.
