Re: True Unity Must Be Cultivated by The African R

Greetings Rasi
"capatilism is a THEORY in ACTION. the Actions that ones partake in in carrying out their perception of theory is what is the problem. Mengistu was a 'socialist'/ Chavez is a 'socialist'...one is implementing Actions for the good of the people based on the Socialist Theory. the other acted in a manner that was solely meant to empower himself and those around him."

It is without saying that regardless of the system that is set in place, if the "leader" is corrupt, then the system will be corrupt.
=========

"what type of resources are you referncing. you may have access to the resource of water, but if you dont have the ingenuity to build a boat or buy a boat, you're going to have adifficult time trying to fish."

You dont have to know how to build a boat to drink, you dont have to know how to build a boat to bath. You dont have to know how to build a boat to fish. Surely intially or ancestors did not have boats but found of a viable way to fish. Even Afrikans today fish without the use of a boat.

But I sight what you mean. But you must admit that if there was no body of water first and foremost, fishing would not be of any concern.

why cant we CREATE our OWN capital?

It takes education first. What good is creating capital when put it back into corporate america's hand?

Also, to create capital that we have control over, then we need our own banking system. We have to pay taxes that are used only for our empowerment. We need our own government (which would truly be the masses) to decide how and where our capital need to be used.

Will we be able to do this in the belly of the beast without their interference? I would say no, what do you think?
======

"which is worse capitalism or corruption. if not for corruption would we be in a situation where we can be FORCED to do anything? "

see above
===========

"africa has enuff resources to feed the world. whether africa was run by socialist or capitalist, if we acted in a manner that respected human rights and african blood, then all the sanctions in the world could not put a dent in the economic infrastructure of africa."

I agree but is not Afrika still under the yoke of colonialism...seen and unseen?
============

"ok...then dont deal with the MOB! america is not Almighty God. we do not have dictated by the whims of america. a unified africa would have no use for america except as a medium by which to export our goods manufactured and disstributed on our own terms."

What happens when you dont deal with the mob? This is why we have so called war on terrorism now. What you said is correct...only if we were allowed to do things without interference from the west.

============

"there is nothing wrong with exposing the ills of anything. but i question solutions framed in 'fight the capitalist system' if ones have not detailed what they are fighting with and their strategy for victory."

I agree that specification is helpful in overstanding. And ones should reason out various alternative ideas that may be possible. If one is not able to put it into action, maybe another will.
===============
It is not hypocritical to do so if you live and work within that capitalistic system.

"it isnt? why not? what happened to free-will?"

"relocate to a cooperative/communal area in america if ones dont have the resources to leave the country. grow your own food. barter. dont pay taxes. live off the land. these are all practical alternatives...however they may not be COMFORTABLE alternatives, but the options are there, most that espouse alternative economic systems are unwilling to live in such a manner,yet they talk a good game."

You have to overstand that some are not in a position to move to a communal part of America (where is that anyway..midwest?). People have family situations where it would not be viable for them. I think those that tell people to leave without overstanding what they are dealing with is not fair. Today they may not be ready but tomorrow they may be. Nevertheless exposure of the problem is necessary and must be discussed first and foremost.
=========

"if you do not work for free then you are a capitalist. potentially a disgruntled unwilling one, but a capitalist nonetheless. "

I guess according to webster's dictionary, everyone in the United states would be considered capitalists. I tend to define things for myself. According to the capitalism that I know, it is based off the blood, sweat and tears of others. Show me a pure model of capitalism and I might think otherwise.
========

"only whores can be pimped idren. the I Selassielive is a KING seen. "

Give thanks Iyah. According the defintion of pimp, the one being pimped would be considered a hoe. Even pimps can be pimped however. Maybe a better word would be "used". According to what I have seen of capitalism, all are hoes/used at some point. It is a pimp hoe system.
============

"complaints have never filled a belly."

Neither has the gatekeepers of capitalism. The more they consume, the more they want.

Complaints exposes a problem...Actions seek to remedy it.

Corruption aside, what system do you think would be most beneficial to Afrikan people?
