Re: Forgive slavery, forget reparations

greetings Heather,

several months ago you would have recieved at least 5 or 6 posts condemning you for even posting on the topic of reparations , in fact some may do so still. i will not go there because even though white folks in general have nothing to do with reparations neither are white folks expected to pay anything into said reparations i for one still know that it could only help the issue with more support, especially from white men and women who mention His Majesty and Rastafari Movemant. one must educate oneself on the topic of reparations and ones must know that it is governments which are being sued for REPARATIONS not white folks. now, indirectly some whites will wind up paying for reparations through taxes but so will black citizens as well. when whites take up the mantra,

"how can i be asked to pay for something i never did?"

it shows lack of overstanding, support for slavery and all that ensued since that time and by association support for white supremacy. this causes many conscious folks to be suspicious of those fighting against reparations or asking Afrikans to forgive and forget and also leads many conscious ones to know that the fruit indeed does not fall far from the tree. it would be wise for the fruit to plant new roots because the old tree of white supremacy will be cut down by small axes.
