The ark was made of wood and metal (gold). Gold is one of the best conductors of electricity while wood is one of the best insulators. Many have said that the ark was a giant capacitor. It was able to store enough energy to kill a man and destroy a wall (Jericho), according to the bible.
The ark was created by man so therefore it can not be greator than man...it's creator. If the ark was greator than man, then there would be no need to guard and protect the ark. The ark would be guarding and protecting man instead.
Man seems to always need a symbol to inspire them. I see the ark as one of those symbols.
