Greetings in the Name of the Most High!

I have read your posting and although not addressed at me, I think I could give a relevant reply so here it is. In humbleness and respect I would like to draw some relevant information into the reasoning for a better view on this matter. It is Good and Pleasant in the sight of Jah when I and I come together to reason and show Respect and Love despite of the differences. This is also a big element in One Love, for Out Of One Blood All People.

I am the one who putted this interview with His Imperial Majesty on the Internet, I also put on in MP3 format the Selassie speech that was later used by Bob Marley for the track War on my site. I love King Selassie, the son of Solomon and Makeeda. For me King Selassie is an Ikon of Christ. And Selassie is being viewed as such by many Ethiopians all over the world. I am also calling myself a Jesus Dread, so I think I should reply to this letter, hopefully to take away some confusion.

I would like to ask you: Would you tell this to the Prophet Gad of the 12 Tribes of Israel? He say Selassie is not God or Christ, and that only through Christ is one saved. Second, the term "Jesus Dread" was given to one Brethren with dreadlocks who was encouraged by his Rastafarian Brethren and Sistren to record music. I am talking about the man called Yabby You. You can read it all on http://www.yabbyyou.com The I speak about a quick label, what does the I mean, I am a Jesus Dread now for over 15 years, this could hardly be seen as quickly. It has taken me well over ten years before I wrote down my Itations, so one can not say this is "quickly". Yabby You is a Jesus Dread also in the 1970's, so this is not a quick thing Iah.

Third: There are a lot of brethren and sistren within the movement of Rastafari, who do not believe that Haile Selassie is God or Christ. By the way, the difference between Christ and God is not as clear as it might seem, as the deity of Yesus Kristos is not really being questioned by the multitude of Rastafarians, on the contrary. Many who believe Selassie to be Christ, believe HIM to be the second coming. So the point is not about Kristos and if He is God, the question is, if Selassie is the returned Yesus. When people say "God", they mean most of the time the Father in the Divine Trinity. Where Kristos is God the Son, God is God The Father.

Taking Christianity of out Rastafari is not a thing to do lightly. HIM was called "Defender of the Christian Faith", HIM was a devout Christian. HIM sent Abuna Yesehaq to Jamaica as Archbishop of the Ethiopian Church for the western hemisphere. Why? Well, read the interview: http://www.dubroom.org/articles/0002.htm

If you listen to the question to HIM once more you will hear: "There are million of CHRISTIANS, Your Imperial Majesty, who regard You as the reincarnation of Christ". This to show, that many Rastafarians, including those who believe Selassie to be Christ and those who I would call "Jesus Dreads", are being seen as Christians. I would really encourage everybody who is, for any reason, interested in this subject, to read the book "Dread Jesus" by William David Spencer. It contains many thoughtful words, and much interviews with known people in the Rastafarian and Reggae Community.
