Yes, I've heard of them, and yes they are anomalies, most of these cases are all the result of man's imagination, and result in sterility. Also, when these cases exist in nature, which is extremely rare, they don't last. None of those examples has continued over the ages, even if they reproduce, they don't keep reproducing.
