I will raspond to this point because since I name has been called a few times in this exchange I want my position to be clear.

Disciple, I did see the jab at you in Selassielive's comments. But I do not call out every single time ANY ONE takes a jab at someone else. In the past I have clearly posted to Selassielive regarding his engaging in squabbling with you so it is not true that he is never called out. There is just no point in calling out every single little comment that ANYONE makes, especially when that comment is intended to provoke another poster. I do not wish to contribute to the strife. Like I read somewhere about how in African villages ones avoid conflict and bickering among themselves because the village is small and needs to remain united in order to function efficiently. You are right that I have expressed fondness for Selassielive, as I have for you. I have learned much from both of you, and I have had disagreements with both of you as well. As others have noted, disagreement is not the issue; the issue is how ones handle themselves while in disagreement.

I do NOT comment every time you get into debating and name calling with other posters, and I do not continue to respond to posters with whom I so deeply disagree that I do not feel any positive growth of reasoning possible. Both of these for the same reason: because I do not come to RS to argue with other Rasta. I have learned that your personality is a fiery one and that sometimes you call names and get a little hurtful. I am not arrogant enough to think that ANYTHING I could type is going to change that, whether it makes me uncomfortable or not. I generally enjoy reasoning with you and have grown much from doing so, and so I try not to pay too much attention to our differences.

Likewise with ones (Pianke comes to mind, and of course MP) by whom I have been thoroughly insulted. I may post about how I feel or what I think, but I know that there is no point in debating back and forth with those with whom I just do not get along. This being an international forum, it is not unreasonable to accept that I will not get along with EVERYbody (I would have to be an accommodationist for that right?! *wink*!)

I think that you and Selassielive really should just try and ignore each other when disagreements arise. SOMEONE has to be the bigger man and just walk away. Every one here knows that y'all don't get along by now. I have been following this thread closely, but chose not to comment until now because I was enjoying the guidance and wisemind of Baba Marcus and was hopeful that you and SL would get over each other.

Disciple, I just think you should rise above it if you feel he is baiting you, or taking jabs. Why do you care so much? With much love and raspect, it seems to I as if the BOTH of you have some "alpha male" thang going on that is the REAL distraction to reasonings.
