I-spect Baba
Give thanks for your temperance ancient one.
I agree that reasoning is not the same as arguing. Whenever reasoning becomes personal than I think there is not much of a chance for edification because one will feel insulted and disrespected by the personal comments and will not open up his/her heart and mind to reason.
This became evident in this thread. When I responded to the Idren's post, I had no contentious feelings behind the reply. But because of prior disputes, it was taken as if I was trying to distract from the thread. I posted several times on your thread prior to the Idren posting. My previous posts on this thread showed that my intent was not to distract but for edification and innerstanding.
Personally, I think that there is room for all of us on this forum to present our ideas and reasonings. If one does not want to participate in a thread, they have the option not to. I dont overstand how anyone can distract or prevent anyone from learning since this is an internet forum and not a face to face forum. Ones can turn the internet off.
I have been on this forum of and on for probably 7 years. I have had productive reasonings for most of them.
Generally speaking, I do not have a history of constant insulting and disraspectful behavior on this forum. But I do acknowledge times when I have been out of order.
If the Idren feels that he would be more focused and receptive to learning if I did not participate in a thread in which he has responed, I will try my best not to participate.
The scope of my learning and edification is not limited to this internet forum. As you like to say, "The whole world is my classrom."
Again, give thanks for the temperance and guidance.
One black love!
