“We are all seekers of knowledge, and I would hope that ones would recognize that to a large degree we are all in pursuit of many of the same goals, however different our approaches may be in achivieng these objectives.”
* In my view, most people are NOT seekers of knowledge. Most people are looking for fame, fortune, sex, getting high and a "good time". Anything that they feel threatens what they want, they resist. Most people do not identify with their essence, which is the only part of them that really seeks knowledge. If people were really seeking knowledge then much of the debate surrounding this Black Leadership Issue would be quite different. As a matter of fact there is enough quality information around for the whole world to be a better place if people were really seeking knowledge.
I doubt that “to a large degree we are all in pursuit of many of the same goals.” If people really thought so, they would have no problem debating with integrity.
