Re: Honesty in reasoning

Greetings
'In reality I stopped responding to you after I was satisfied that I made my position clear and you did not challenge it. Your innuendos indicate you still want my attention so I am replying."

*******************

You mean you made your opinion clear. You said nothing that was absolute and beyond response. But no need to beat a dead horse.

Your name was never mentioned. I guess you knew that I was talking about you. I wonder why?

******************

"As far as I am aware, no one actually told you why you were previously banned. You posted after you returned that you were banned for 'making insulting remarks'. If one reads what you are "claiming" today, you were banned for your opposing views."

http://www.rastafarispeaks.com/cgi-bin/forum/archive1/config.pl?read=44138

****************************

I guess you will pretend to know nothing of what happened then. I wont revisit it again. It is over and done with.

******************

"I know those who share certain Black views are not encouraged, even on Black websites, so we are not going to casually accept pressure to ban anyone.

If you felt the operators of this website (including I) was unfair to you or if you really had a problem with our views on a site that features a picture of Haile Selassie, then you would not wait until now to voice those concerns. If people read some of your posts compared to my past and present stated positions I am confident they would see the difference. I do not feel I have to stay debating these issues. I have moved on."

*****************

If you are referring to my comment about Eja's insults, I never asked for him to be banned. I am not one who is for the repression of free speech. People can say what they wish. They just should not be disrespectful in doing so.

I do sight that no one sent a post to him reminding him of the Rules of Conduct like it was sent to others. Or maybe I missed that.

I have no problem with "Black issues". That is why I post here. But I will not perpetuate nor support what I see as divisive to black folks.

******************

You should search the board and archives and most of the threads that I commented on and tell us one time you showed that I made some error that I should have apologized for. If anything you have more or less publicly agreed with most of what I put on the table. You know I do not usually respond to 'big-ups' and I see that most of those who agree on the Black leadership issue DO reason out their positions. Their ability to reason it out verifies it cannot be blind acceptance."

****************

Of course there will be no post where you needed to stand corrected because you dont make mistakes. We have elders here who have no problem with humility.

*****************

"People agreeing on this issue are not "ganging up" on you. People have often sided with YOU in debates and you did not consider that "ganging up" so I don’t buy that language now. This issue may be challenging you but I do not feel that you should resort to lies in an attempt to appear right."

*******************

It seems awfully coincidental that you mentioned a few weeks ago that I distorted a view you had on merit, concerning colorism, 2 years ago. Now I am dubbed mr. distortion by the ones who happen to have similar views as yourself concerning "ONLY dark black leadership." I guess I have to be careful for fear of distorting anyone's sentiments. But I think it is the gist of it."

*********************

So as not to distract from the leadership issue since you are not able to reason or go beyond attempting to malign, I let it fly.

********************

So now I am the one trying to malign? You never look in the mirror do you?

It's all good though. I will let it fly as well.

Peace
