Dr Kambon's words should be echoed by every African who wants to be counted/considered as a leader. It is time that Africans realize that they are in a fight for their very survival.
The only reason Dr. Kambon does not have the resources to realize his objectives, is that too many of our so-called leaders/luminaries are nothing more than sycophants and vampires themselves.
Our youth need to know that there is something greater at stake than a pair of athletic shoes, or a piece of real estate they do not own. Where is our warrior class? We are descended from great traditions, whether Nubian bowmen or Mande/Mandinke warrior. Where is our army of Khemists, to combat the plagues of the enemy?
We have allowed ourselves to be placated by the religious lies told to us by those who have co-opted and corrupted what was the wisdom of our ancestors.
"whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass, and whoever has discovered a carcass, of that person the world is not worthy." These are the words of the living Jesus.
So do not blame Dr. Kambon for speaking the truth; like the late, Dr. King he has probably been in the presence of glory (the Spirit) at the mountain top, and thus he fears no man (material/matter). His is that voice in the wilderness. So consider yourselves, warned.
"African people-we Africans in America-we cannot reach our full potential if we start off on the wrong psychological foot, on the wrong emotional foot, because it distorts our whole value system...then we're following a value system that is actually destructive to our essence." Dr. Kamau Kambon
