Re: Dr Kaunda Was There In The Struggle He Knows

Masimba

Do you see the foundamental and essential difference between your two summations:-

"""Access to opportunity was based on colour of skin. """
"""Access to opportunity is based on political patronage. """

Smith you must be white- First
Mugabe you must First- show your support .

First the foundamental difference is :- First is that access to oppurtunity is not based , on sex , race , religion and or ethinicity . Put another way if you are a human being you have access .

The Essential difference being :- in order to have access to the Oppurtunities now made available you must support those who risk much and probable lost much to the struggle to open up these new avenues to oppurtunity . Put another way no political organization will survive if it does not also supports its supporters in return .

Correct me if I am wrong , but it seems to me , you think the revolution is over. is it ? .

"""We Zimbabweans still have a sense of humour about our situation. The saying is- we kicked the white man out """"

Did we really ?

Are you really trying to tell me that the black Zimbabweans we better off economically under Smith ?

"""coz he was taking the cream, but we have unfortunately replaced him with a bunch that are taking not only the cream, but the milk, and the the pail, and the cow and the stool!!! """

If you are accurate , in this then I must confess that the information reaching us diasporic Africans is quite the opposite .

What sanctions are you here referring to-

""""But this has to be said of him- when he faced sanctions, he strove to make the country more self-sufficient. Under him, Zimbabwe became more industrialised"""(This causes me to wonder where your loyalties lie-these are{sounding like} the arguments of a white or brown Man(uncertain about who he is) , still worst a sellout(lost) blackMan , please assure me you are none the above ?)

The ones the Western nations were forced( by diasporic black Africans) into placing on rhodesia because of its racist policies , that eventually succeeding in bringing it down .The industrialization you saw was a response by racist rhodesian , to thwart the eventually liberation of black Africans Zimbabweans and Zambians . As long as these industries prosper and exist so does the racist who owns and maintains controling interest .

"""Under him, Zimbabwe became more industrialised"""
Not Zimbabwe , rhodesia became more industrialize .

Unless i am mistaken , then I think Mugabe is still fighting the struggle of liberation , so you must now show to me that I am in error for me to see the light that you are shining ,

Show me where and when he Mugabe made his missteps ?
Show me also the good he did ,pro and con ?

Remember I can only make my decision based on the information i have , and the ones I get from the sources I trust , says uniquivocally that he is a HERO and remains so still to this day , thru his continued fight for the rights of Zimbabweans .

If you have contradictory information I welcome them , but they must be explored for veracity .
