I am not into this personality cult thing that you have. Mugabe is a politician at the end of the day and we the end-users have the right to call him to account for his policies. It is called democracy. I will do the same for whoever comes after him, and the next and the next. You can build shrines to all of them and rub their bellies or whatever, but we are more in touch with what really matters. Mugabe was a great statesman at one time, and noone can take away the fact that he spent ten years in prison for Zimbabwe. But that is no excuse for turning in to some ravaging monster.

So, what you are trying to force down my throat is that Mugabe is OK in repressing brutally any dissention, in dragging down the country with him with the maddest of economic policies simply because

1. Blair was silent on Smith's atrocities.

2. The British did not honour their promises.

Since you are bent on recyling the last one- because if I disagree with it you will then squawk that I am in the employ of the British ( utter rubbish), I would refer you to websites such as www.newzimbabwe.com, which carry historical documents from the Lancaster House talks up to the present. There is also www.swradioafrica.com, but I have never had time to check this site out. These are just the ones that I can think of off the top of my head, but the Zimbabwean presence online is not as vapid or shallow as you would like to assume.

We Zimbabweans don't care about Blair or any of the people you are so interested in. Your knee-jerk reaction approach to Zimbabwe is unbefitting someone who is regarded as an elder over there.
