"Now why would any European who is reasonable and fair in their thinking, even think of going to Ethiopia, to snatch a piece of that very small portion of land, when Europe is for the Europeans and Africa for the Africans, those at home and those abroad"
This question can be answerded simply with one word: DOGMA.
The reasonable and fair thinking European who lives the Rastafari livity would not allow dogmatic beliefs of being in the "promised land" in order to gain salvation etc to dominate their lives.
I know of "consious" europeans who have no desire at all to be in Africa, i give thanks for those.
To me coming from the East of the continent i find it a sad fact that this granted land for Africans in the West was meant for Africans to come home and live with other Africans. Not to create a seperate (jamaican) colony. It's a sad fact that Ethiopians in that (Oromo specifically) feel that these people are a threat, and if ones take a good observation of the situation in Shashamane ones will see why.
Furthermore how can ones simply downplay the negative feelings some have againts His Majesty for his human errors, and so resent INI that try to paint this perfect picture of His Majesty. There are some judgements and decisions that the Emperor took wich none of INI would whole heartedly agree with, yet some stick their heads in the sand when they hear of this.
Back on topic:
It'sad that ones try to hold against the I what the i have reasoned on the elders cd. I too have enjoyed that cd and will still enjoy it. Yet to think that a man or woman can't progress in his or her thoughts is a damn shame. The constant flow of information leads to different ways of seeing the same thing. 5 years ago i would tell every Rastafari youth to study his bible and look for Rastafari. Today i would tell them to study their African selves, their history, spirituality and LIVE RASTAFARI. I used to read the bible day and night for years, now i havent even seen it for years. Change is the first law of Nature, once we where young and then we become older. Thoughts progress and are never stagnant.
