It is my overstanding that the woman is in tune with the cycles of the moon. The moon reflects the light of the sun. The moon goes through a period of waxing and waning whereby it goes through stages of reflecting more and less of the light of the sun.

The moon also goes through a stage where it reflects none of the light of the sun - known as the new moon. It is IMHO the man's responsibility to be strong enough to be humble in the face of the fact that there are times when the woman is not reflecting his light and is in a period of inner contemplation where the light of the sun is not needed by her.

It is in overstanding these natural facts and living in accordance with them and realizing our place as man and woman, sun and moon in the scheme of things that we can start to achieve a balance and perhaps more properly interact with each other as complementary aspects necessary for the furtherance of Righteousness and creation.
