There are so many of our black children who have dropped our of schools for just one reason or another, there is no proper clothing for them to wear, since there is no employment among the parents, and the school board wont accept them with no shoes on their feet, plus it they were even bold enough to go to school with no shoes on their feet, and some clothing which is not in the latest style which other children are wearing, they would be looked down on, and be mocked jeered and teased as they go from day to day, and before long, that would definately lead to violence. In the mean time, those who are not going to school, should be good minded enough, as to allow those few girls who are living in your village, and are making a great effort to go to school as hard as it may be, to be able to go to school, without being intimidated and molested from time to time, on their way to school and back. Boys will be boys and girls will be girls, but if you are not in a position to help yourself, and your parents are not in a position to help their selves or you, then leave those young girls alone and do not try to force your self upon them to make them pregnant, in order to create another ocean of poverty in your own community. That kind of behavior creates disunity among families, for if your are not able to help your self, and you make this girl pregnant, their is bound to be animosity among both families, especially when you caused this girl to drop out of school and you nor your parents are not able to help her to buy not even a safety pin. Then history continues to repeat it self here in these kinds of situations, because this girl who is made pregnant is only fifteen years of age, and her mother who is not doing too well financially, had her when she was only sixteen years of age, which means she is just thiry one years of age, and is getting ready to become a grand mother, although she is not fully recovered from the pians and sufferings of her own pregnancy. I am bringing these illustrations to your attention because these are the real situations which causes poverty to multiply in our community and as poverty multiplies, it creates anger and anger breeds violence and so we just walk around from day to day with a frown upon our faces. If each of us turn the pages of our memories, we may be able to recall, a nice young girl who was doing very well in school, and it would not have been long before she would have been sucessful in her school work, in order to be of help to her parents and family, and to be also of service to her community, but suddenly she became pregnant and not having any help, her progress was cut short. Maybe if each of us in our various black communities, would just take a very serious look at these examples, and each one teach one, we may be able to at least share some dialague around these very serious kinds of problems, and some sweet days in the future, we may be able to begin to make some internal changes in the lives of our people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere
