Yes-I, most definately. We used to bring our children in New York to a free drum class. Baba Abashai got some grants and we formed a group that went to his class once a week. He taught the children the mystical aspects of the drum. One thing he said that always stuck, he said "Every person, especially, every Afrikan person, must be exposed to the drum, as the drum reaches down into the soul and brings to the surface your true being, of which one now knows who they are and what their purpose is.
