You said: “ Well people’s minds and feelings were altered, and are still being altered because of Slavery, Colonialism, the bogus education system, and media projections of beauty and success. Many have not considered that some of their feelings have been altered; they feel love based on ideas that were forced on them (self-destructive). “
I totally agree with you brotha Ayinde, but black Rastafarian believers are supposed to be the most engaged in racial consciousness and African heritage pride right? The truth is MOST Rasta men have always desired the white woman, and it has been more acceptable thing to do in the last 25 years since whites started to monopolize Rastafari via “Rasta music.” I do see a bumbs rush of white women going out of their way to be the friends of blacks in our community, out of this black women feel a lot of repercussion because of white women pursing our men, + many black Rasta men feel at ease courting white women. In my opinion, that speaks volumes that these brothas are fake.
You said: “ Also many Rastas are economically challenged, and do face negative discrimination, although some have contributed to that. Remember, historically Rastas generally pulled away from the rest of society, and in most cases were not explaining their way of life to the masses. In some measure that contributed to the alienation and discrimination. People would generally fear, and then negatively discriminate against things they do not understand.
Some Rastas resort to being the exotic relationship for some whites in exchange for money. Many are just struggling with bread and butter issues, and in my view are not well informed. “
IMO, engaging in interracial prostitution smears the reputation of black Rastafarian men. How are they protesting WHITE SUPREMACY dating women from another race for MONEY? When I got acquainted with Rastafari I was wondering what kind the Rastafarian brothas were and they showed me, its funny how so many blacks can seem so "pro-black" and be so lost.
