The generalization set off warning signals that gave me warning of what to expect. It did not stop me from owning one earlier. Being curious about the generalization I wanted to experience owning one for myself. I found the generalization true but I learned about the dog and discover the same ignorance of history there also. The generalization said much about the people who breed and abuse them to get the qualities they were condemning. Coming to think of it most negative generalizations are the result of human interferences, they mold someone or an animal to behave a in particular way then they negatively label it.
For me, discovering the exception to the rule is very exciting.
