I appreciate and respect your words.
Let me say however that one thing that impressed me about Rasta right from the start was its ability to evolve. Rasta of 2002 is not the Rasta of the 1930's. Just look at the evolution of women in the movement. How far have women moved in christianity in the last 2000 years? The problem with many religious systems is that they are teaching lessons that were written for life thousands of years ago.And while some of these lessons may still work some are out of date. To me Rasta resembles a person with a wide open mind that is willing to listen and grow. And if reasoning is an important concept of Rasta then the ability to listen with an open mind should also be important. Some may feel that Rasta has been watered down while others may feel that the watering has helped it grow.
